The Mad Music Show #197 - June 20, 2016
Topic: Face The Peril - Even If It's Too Perilous
 This
week, we face the peril. We'll have rabid dogs, Dracula, Nick Danger,
very un-PC language, a thoroughly unhealthy fixation with those big
brown Lincoln logs that emerge from your nether regions every day
(hopefully) and what happens to them afterward - the crap, not your
nether regions. This isn't going to be that kind of show. It's been
done.

Show Facts: |
I bought a new crappy microphone to make the show. It's not quite as crappy as the last one. I bump into it a couple of times in seg. 2, making a nasty crackle. New stuff just takes some getting used to. (Stavro Arrgolus) |
"She's No Fun; She Fell Right Over" is a line spoken on both sides of the Firesign Theatre LP that seg. 3 comes from. (Stavro Arrgolus) |
The center set of seg. 4 has a noticeable country flavor to it. This is no accident. The whole show is purposely composed of happy, bouncy songs...because the show is about danger and all the horrible things that could happen to us. This isn't the first time a MMS about disturbing things has been successfully made this way.
It should be pointed out that "happy-bouncy" does NOT equal "SFW/kid-friendly." (Stavro Arrgolus) |

fiogf49gjkf0d Good Start Stavro!
|
|
fiogf49gjkf0d Oh, yessss! Two more segments. Who knows, this show might be completed sometime in July...or August.
|
|
fiogf49gjkf0d Ok, it's long past time I explained this.
I'm "Retired Commodore" Stavro Arrgolus. Wayne made a fuss about this at the time, but in reality, I'm RETIRED Commodore Stavro - as in 'no longer a commodore' for decades... I retired in 1989, for those of you who've been following this idiocy.
A "commodore" is the equivalent of a rear admiral = "one star" admiral. The rank doesn't really exist outside of wartime - much in the way other things don't exist around here. The "rear" term has its own connotations I wished to avoid.
|
|
fiogf49gjkf0d Great to have another excellent show. Glad you are feeling up to it Stavro (or should I say Commodore Arrgolus).
|
|
fiogf49gjkf0d It's finally complete. Too much interfered with this show's completion and it ended up taking a month to sort it all out, then finish the recording.
I'm going to have a nice rest and start on show 198 (Us & Them).
