fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d A solution to downloading videos from YouTube may be found in the current "Maximum PC" Special Issue (Fall 2007), "Digital Media How-To Guide" (page 70).
I won't quote the entire paragraph, but the tool it says is the easiest to use is YouRipper (www.remlapsoftware.com).
Files on YouTube are in Flash (.flv) format, so you may need to convert them to another format. Their suggestions were; Total Video Converter (www.effectmatrix.com/total-video-converter) and Riva FLV Encoder (www.rivax.com). Another suggestion was the FLV Online Converter (vixy.net).
--- I B Emerson A while ago, someone suggested using "video.qooqle.jp/dl/" to download videos from YouTube to a PC to allow viewing off-line. I noticed that this website currently reads "sorry, now on maintenance".
Any thoughts on other YouTube downloaders?

Jeff Daniels does a 180 on his 'Tiger Fan Blues'
Adam Graham / The Detroit News
After years of watching the Detroit Tigers suffer humiliating losses, Jeff Daniels -- like so many Tigers fans -- had the blues. So he wrote a song about it. "The Lifelong Tiger Fan Blues," written after the Tigers' disastrous 2003 season and included on the actor's 2004 CD, details the hurt and pain of watching the Tigers endure years of shame
and embarrassment. "There's no hope in sight, no light at the end of the tunnel, no shining white light," Daniels sings. "As bad as it is, it's as good as it gets, when you're only one game better than the '62 Mets."
Then a funny thing happened: The Tigers started
winning. With his original song (happily) rendered
irrelevant, Daniels, a Tigers season ticket holder for 10
years, decided to write and record an updated version:
"Tiger Fan Blues Revisited."
This time around, the lyrics were much more
celebratory: "Just when I thought I couldn't get any
lower, my sky opened up and my cup runneth over,"
Daniels sings, in the song's signature Delta blues style.
Later, he elates, "If the Pope's still Catholic and the
world's still round, my Detroit Tigers are World Series
bound."
Daniels penned the new version in late July, and
debuted it in mid-August while performing at an auto
suppliers' convention in Traverse City. Reaction was so
positive that he contacted Fox Sports Net work in Detroit,
which expressed interest in the song, and he
recorded a version of it at a studio in Lansing. Daniels
shot a video for the song on Belle Isle, at Hockeytown
Cafe and inside Comerica Park. FSN premiered the
video -- which is available on YouTube.com -- during a
Tigers' broadcast last month.
Daniels is selling the song on his Web site for 99 cents, and says he's sold 1,000 downloads
so far. Proceeds go to his Purple Rose Theatre Company in Chelsea.

I thought it was pretty cool at the time but I don't think they did it very often because it used some huge amount of paper.

Hi,I'm ART PAUL SCHLOSSER and I Team up with Roger Bindl and HEM Productions to make 5 new videos !
Unfortunately they are exclusively only at this time at one.revver.com and you can see all 5 plus the 2 Mark did by typing Art Paul in the search engine there.
The reason they are only at one.revver.com is: We are hoping to make a little money on them before we release them all over the internet.
If it is easier just go to these links
Purple Bananas on the Moon one.revver.com/watch/74777
My Cat Was Taking a Bath one.revver.com/watch/74780
I..m Eating Cheese one.revver.com/watch/74784
About the ads: they come after the video and if you click on them we do get paid but if you don't want to that is fine too because it makes me just as happy if you just watch the video.
Oh BTW if you'll be near Madison,Wisconsin come see me and Pete Moeri at The Wild Hog in the Woods Coffee House at 953 Jenifer in the Wil Mar center starting at 8pm

The version on the DrD 20th Anniversary video does use the original lyrics.

fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d There was a time when I probably knew about as much about Star Trek as you know about Sponge Bob. Nothing wrong with either of those, of course. --- SpongeBobLuvr The sound quality of that video is just like the first time I heard it on tape five years ago. I misheard half the song not only because of the poor quality, but because I didn't know a thing about Star Trek. Here are some lines I misheard:
"Klingons on the starboard bow" sounded like "Clean up on the carpet now" and then "Cling-ons on the carpet now". "Medical update, Doctor McCoy" sounded like "Medical Optic docks in the clay". "Engine Room, Mister Scott" sounded like "Engineer Mister Sketch".

I just did a quick look. IE native does not seem to work. The file extension is either flv or swf. They look like they are flash.
