The Mad Music Special #182 - December 25, 2013
Topic: Clinical Insanity For Christmas
This
is the last of the year's Xmas shows and the first Mad Music Special.
What's a Mad Music Special, you ask? It's a show with 8 segments or
more. This show has 10. There will be tunes about the great Xmas feast, a
very disturbing segment balanced by a rather whimsical one, and
there'll be classics to hear as well. We'll have some Santa degradation,
some insanity and offensiveness, then we'll drag the whole puppy home
with the traditional 'after Christmas' segment.

Show Facts: |
Got it in just under the wire. It's expanded into an MMS recently and will eventually become a full 3+ hour special. Just check back here occasionally and you'll get the whole thing sooner or later. (Stavro Arrgolus) |
Seg. 4-6 added Feb. 2014. Seg. 7 & 8 added Mar. 7-9, 2014. Seg. 9 & 10 added Apr. 13, 2014 (Stavro Arrgolus) |
The episode says it's ©2014 rather than 13 because much of it was, indeed, made in 2014. (Stavro Arrgolus) |

fiogf49gjkf0d Looking forward to the additional segments.
fiogf49gjkf0d Medically ordered rest prevented additions to this show until now. I wasn't supposed to make it at all at the time...
I'm going back to make the regular show, but a segment will occasionally be added to this one until it's complete.
Now that the holiday's well and truly over (even Eastern Orthodox Xmas was yesterday), I may just change the bit about not announcing when there's been an addition, but only because it'd sound sarcastic/crotchety/irascible (old guy releases another MMS-182 Xmas segment X month(s) late - so there!). More fun that way.
No mention of the very late construction will be made on the show itself. When you hear it when it's eventually completed, it'll sound like any other Xmas show, which is how it should be.
Meanwhile, enjoy the podcasts & MMS in this New Year. I'll try very hard to make them not suck.

fiogf49gjkf0d Stay Alive! Get the rest you need. Thanks for all you do!
fiogf49gjkf0d New Xmas segment(s) in February! Yay!
fiogf49gjkf0d Works for me! :-) I love this segment. Definitely worth the wait! The Polish Muslims song would been good too, but that is almost an entire segment by itself.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Retired Pirate said "New Xmas segment(s) in February! Yay!"
(since the reply function doesn't work in this module as you know)
fiogf49gjkf0d This show is now a full 2-hour MMS. And it's only 6 weeks late.
6 segments down, 4 to go.
fiogf49gjkf0d Another 2 segments! 10 weeks late now! Yay!
2 to go.
fiogf49gjkf0d Yay! More more demented Christmas show. ;-)
fiogf49gjkf0d At the end of segment 5, is that Kate Bush playing in the background, and what song?
fiogf49gjkf0d Yup, Kate Bush. And it's "December Will Be Magic Again" - her only song that fits the theme.
fiogf49gjkf0d And that's not all for this episode in the "Fun With Background Music" category. A few segments have bgm from Enya's Xmas album. The gag comes from the first season of South Park when Stan's grandpa convinces him to help him commit suicide by locking him in a room with a boombox playing (fake) Enya music really loud and telling him "This is what it's like to be Grandpa!"
He wasn't that far off. Now you're getting a taste of what it's like to be grandpa.
And with the completion of the final 2 segments (on Palm Sunday), the special is finally done. And only 4 months late as well. Remind me not to make another one of these 3+ hour specials any time soon.

fiogf49gjkf0d Good Job Stavro!
fiogf49gjkf0d Bravo!!!
