	fiogf49gjkf0d If it matters at all, the reason there have been no shows is that the car fell apart (I said I'd drive it until it fell apart, and it did) and it's been nightmarish trying to replace it with no help from anywhere. Can't go anywhere, can't do anything. This episode wrote itself. It'll be recorded & posted when this latest nightmare ends.

	fiogf49gjkf0d Mmmmm....could be. I'm reasonably sure this show won't have obscure comic book references in it. Though Bugs Bunny finds his way into the intro time and time again for some reason... As predicted, this playlist wrote itself. There are unpleasant appointments this week, so a great effort will need to be made to finish & post this show. As we count down to Halloween, I'm contemplating another "Is It Dementia?" episode. It went down very well last year and I see that its show page is still viewed quite a bit. Almost as much as the holiday shows. Ah, yes, the Halloween & Xmas shows... It's going to be a great deal more difficult to make them this year than last, but the effort will still be made.

	fiogf49gjkf0d "Do what you can with what you have where you are." - Theodore Roosevelt So, it's been a long time... Things have been such that making shows hasn't been possible. The situation still isn't wonderful, but by switching the shows and making this mix tape show MMH-188, it might be possible to put together a playlist & script this weekend. There's a very disruptive annual town fair going on at the fairgrounds less than a mile from here and all the roads are blocked off, so there's no escape. Just like it has been on Labor Day for the 43 years I've lived here - there were no things like this in the towns I lived in before that... Since I can't go anywhere but that fair (fat chance), I have lots of time to at least make a playlist, if not a whole show. I'll see what I can slap together. Should be simple enough. I just have to get my old tapes & copy the decent tunes on the spreadsheet like I did last year when I made one of these. And who knows? Maybe we can have an actual show before Halloween. Sounds crazy, but it could happen.

	fiogf49gjkf0d Last year, I restarted TMMS after years of only occasional shows with a mix tape show. That show featured songs from one of the Dr. Demento mix tapes I had made 30 years before. Part of its appeal was that I could recognize all the parodies - which is a hell of a lot more than I can say for the new Weird Al album. So I figured maybe I can get away with doing this once a year. Summer would be the best time. Since I still have the tapes, these shows write themselves. I'll either pick up from where I left off or choose an entirely different, more recent (if you can call it that) tape at random. Far too many too choose from. I'm still not used to this whole "pain-free" thing yet, so I'm doing tons of other things while it's holding out - you would, too. If it goes well, it might be a full 2 hour show...but that's a longshot.
