Also, you may have noticed that "Snow" by Jeff Reuben did not air in the FuMPtastic last weekend.

It's because from now on, if a new FuMP listing is either in Honorable Mention or one of the featured songs (a song from the main chart that plays in full, which is what "Snow" was, being a debut), it will not play in the multishot. However, I will mention when I play it, that it was listed on the site.

The exception is if a song debuts, or is featured, in just the right place on the chart that I can play it in the Multishot without breaking the sequential nature of the chart :) The FuMPtastic Multishot's normal spot will be in Hour 2

The 2 Mad Music Top 25/50 special shows will retain the old format, and will still come out on July 4 and Dec 31. I'm just not doing the *Demento* specials anymore.

The top 50 will still be full shows though right? I understand the need for what you did even if I personally preferred the old format--I know that your time is valuable, I can't even do a show anymore due to school et al. . .so I understand, I just hope the top 50 isn't affected by this change.

DJ Particle:

I already do that with the Top 20, and since the two shows come around CONvergence and New Year's, two of my busiest times of the year, I don't think having 2 *more* special shows would be feasible :(

---
A-Log:

In the case of the Halfyear/50-26, you could make a separate show as a companion piece to the final show of the year.

Just a thought.

Pros and cons...

PRO - not as much recording to do on Thursday
PRO - no need to write down the running times of the songs on the DT20 in pre-prod
CON - a bit more pre-show prep to make the countdown medleys, though it will be easier starting with next show, as I shouldn't have to put as many songs together in a medley, which means less possibility of screwing up the voice-overs. It took me about 5 or 6 takes to do the 10-to-4 medley *heh*

PRO - No more Sunday commitment on Dementia Radio, giving me the entire day free to do whatever (like head into my RL job earlier instead of having to wait for 3PM CT)
CON - More post-prod on Fridays *heh* - I was requested to break up the show into pieces, like DT20, instead of all one file, like the old Revenge. This adds about 30-45 minutes to my post-prod. Not that big of a deal, but it was something I noticed.

PRO - More interactivity in the Top 20 via the Skypeline (will be more evident this week, hopefully)
CON - No more "Dr. Demento Top 25 of the Halfyear/50-26 of the year" shows. As you can see from last week's show, it just doesn't work well with the new format.
PRO-within-a-CON - This also re-frees up my CONvergence show, as I don't have to worry as much about a set playlist anymore, like I had in 2010 and 2011.
