- MARSCON 2012 AUDIO ADS FOR RADIO & INTERNET D.J.S & PODCASTERS

I've put together an ad for MarsCon 2012, the Dementia Track, and the Fund Raiser for D.J.s and podcasters to play on their shows. The short version is about 3:30, and can be found here: tinyurl.com/MarsCon12adSHORT . The long version is just under 8 minutes, and can be found here: tinyurl.com/MarsCon12adLONG . Any airplay you're willing to give them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A-Log:

Excellent to hear of the latest MarsCon updates. Can we expect a promo like last year's for us DJ's to play?

Announcing:
The MARSCON 2012 DEMENTIA TRACK: ROCKING THE APOCALYPSE!

Music Guests of Honor: THE CONSORTIUM OF GENIUS!
Sponsored by Dementia Radio dot org

Otherwise known as the C.O.G., (COG!), Dr. Milo T. Pinkerton III along with his colleages and creations Dr. Z, Drumbot, F13, Lab Tech Remy Dee, and Dr. Ivan Stroganoff will be bringing their mad science rock symposium to MarsCon! In this lecture, will they discover the secret of the coming apocalypse, or will they be the cause of it? Don’t miss this rare performance, brought to you by a generous grant from DementiaRadio.org !

Also making their first appearance at MarsCon this year:

SEAMONKEY
Closing our Friday night R-rated set will be Seamonkey, creator of such great parodies as “Moo Moo Cow”, “Anorexiac”, “I Want In Your Pants”, and “I Like Sheep”. Did I mention he’s R-Rated? I did? Good. You’ve been warned.

THE BOOBLES
Why raise money to fight breast cancer with a marathon when you can record an album of Beatles parodies instead? Meet The Boobles! All the proceeds from their debut CD, “The Pink Album” go towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation! So come see the flab four!

SPAFF
Through the vocal chords of the likes of Robert Lund and the Moneyshot Cosmonauts spew forth the words of Spaff, resulting in a multitude of hits on “The Dr. Demento Show” and at the FuMP over the past several years. Spaff is finally coming to MarsCon so we can mutually confirm each other's existances.

Making their second appearances at MarsCon this year:

TV'S KYLE
When Kyle isn't working as a professional in the television animation industry on shows like Nickelodeon's "Fanboy & Chum Chum", he creates some of the most creative, clever and funny music this side of They Might Be Giants. Come see his show, it's sure to make you shout "HEY!"

DINO-MIKE
Since his last visit to MarsCon, Dino-Mike released a new album, "Chimericana", which features parodies of current pop stars like Jason Derulo, Owl City, Katy Perry, Good Charlotte, Kate Voegele and Miley Cyrus. He's also a "Speed Racer Wannabe". Go, Dino-Mike, go!

And returning favorites:

THE GREAT LUKE SKI
DEVO SPICE
WORM QUARTET
POWER SALAD
CIRQUE du SO WHAT?
THE GOTHSICLES
and POSSIBLE OSCAR!

"TABLE 27" IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS

Our huge double-wide merch table for the acts of the MarsCon Dementia Track is returning once again, and we need people to staff it. In exchange for your services, you’ll get a free badge into MarsCon for the weekend. Table 27 is just outside the doors to the Main Stage room, and will be open during the Dementia Track concerts, on Friday from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am, Saturday from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and on Sunday from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. We will do our best to make sure our volunteers don’t miss out on anything at MarsCon they really want to see or do. We have 1 volunteer already, and we’re looking for 3 to 5 more volunteers to help run the table during those times. Our goal is to have 2 or 3 people behind the table at all times when it is open, so if we have 6 volunteers, that should be easy to figure out. So if you’re willing to give us some of your time at MarsCon to help the Dementia Track in exchange for a free weekend badge, email me at thegreatlukeski@gmail.com . Thanks.

OTHER MARSCON DEMENTIA TRACK RELATED EVENTS IN THE WORKS:

Besides the FuMP Jukebox and the Dementia Smackdown, we are working on finalizing the details of other Dementia Track related events. You can visit marscondementia.com/other-events/ for forthcoming updates and details. I can tell you that Jered Perez is working on another episode of "Dementia Smackdown Wrestling", and that the Space Oddity Music Club & Brew Pub will be happening again in the evenings on the 13th floor. Visit www.bethkinderman.com/spaceoddity.html for details on that. Also, if you are a FuMP or FuMP Sideshow act attending MarsCon 2012 and you’d like to do a song on the Main Stage during the FuMP Jukebox, contact me at thegreatlukeski@gmail.com .

THE MARSCON 2012 DEMENTIA TRACK FUNDRAISER ALBUM!

Once again, I have gone through the over 13 hours worth of live concert audio that was recorded by Byron Lee and Chris Peterson and shoutcasted by Wayne Garmil over Dementia Radio at MarsCon 2011, and turned it into a 4-hour set of music available on 3 CDs or as an MP3 set. This set contains music by Possible OScar, the great Luke Ski, Worm Quartet, Toyboat, TV's Kyle, Steve Goodie, Nuclear Bubble Wrap, Cirque du So What?, Devo Spice, Carrie Dahlby, DJ Particle, Beth Kinderman, Smashy Claw, Rob Balder, BaldBox, Break Man Z, Brett Glass, Gifted Gear, Soggy Potato Chips, Jeff Reuben, Insane Ian, and Puppet Show! Track listing for the set is pasted at the bottom of this message.

To order the 3-CD set with instant MP3 download for $30.00, follow this link:

marscondementia.com/products-page/2012-cds/marscon-2012-dementia-track-fund-raiser-3-cd-set-download-only/

All the money raised will go towards covering the hotel room costs for our out-of-town non-GoH Dementia Track performers. Please help us bring you the best set of comedy music shows we can by picking up a copy of the collection and help us reach our goal. Thanks. :)
