I heard today that eight more guys came forward (so to speak) with allegations. That must be one crowded bathroom!

And a sixth: another version of "Tap Three Times" - this one by The Capitol Steps. It came out a week after the Doug Clark version, and is not quite as good in my opinion.

"My Men's Room Date's a Senator" debuts at #3 on
MMDT20 #07-39.
"Tap Three Times" debuts at #13 and Bruce Kerr's "Hotel Minnesota" is introduced on New Strokes.
That's 3 Larry Craig songs on one show. Here's a fourth:
"I Am Not Gay" (to the tune of Y.M.C.A.) from
National Bananas

I was going to request it for the upcoming Mad Music Show Bathroom Humore episode, but Capt. Wayne beat me to the punch - it opens the new MMS, just posted tonight.

I wrote a parody of the J. Geils Band's "Centerfold" last week called "My Men's Room Date's a Senator." It's available at a website you may have heard of called The Mad Music Archive:

I wrote a parody of the J. Geils Band's "Centerfold" last week called "My Men's Room Date's a Senator." It hasn't been recorded by Robert Lund (or anyone else, for that matter), but here are the lyrics:

Tap Three Times: Larry Craig Parody by Doug Clark
Listen here:
www.spokesmanreview.com/blogs/hbo/archive.asp?postID=17176
Complete lyrics:
Tap Three Times (to the tune Knock Three Times)
Verse 1.
Toilet trollin' Senator Craig.
Standing so tall outside my bathroom stall at the airport.
Through the crack I see you peeking.
I know what you're really seeking.
You tap a code from the next door commode.
Playin' footsie.
---
It's Lusty Larry!
Chorus...
Tap three times with your loafer if you want me.
Mmmm. Twice on the tank - if the answer is no.
Tidy bowl man!
(Tap. Tap. Tap.)
Means you'll meet me in the stall-way.
Twice on the tank means you just gotta go.
Verse 2.
Being busted inside a john.
It's not a thing that a right-wing Republican should do.
All your talk of family values.
Flushed away in scandalous loo news.
And all your denials are stinking like piles of political poo.
(What a wide stance.)
---
Chorus.
Tap three times with your loafer if you want me.
Twice on the tank - if the answer is no. No?
Dirty Larry!
(Tap. Tap. Tap.)
He's unbuckling his beltway.
White and far right means you're from Idaho.
(Refrain.)
Crapitol Hill is buzzin.
About Larry's lavatorial lovin.
It seems so wrong wanting sex in a john.
(Hey, rent a motel.)
Tap three times with your loafer if you want me.
Twice on the tank - if the answer is no.
(Tap. Tap. Tap.)
Means you'll meet me in the stall-way.
You're in the tank, better say adios.
Another idea for a song (no recording avaialbe so far as I know)
From Leah Garchik's column in today's San Francisco Chronicle:
-- And as to Sen. Larry Craig, Noah Griffin has already written,
to the tune of "Standing on the Corner"
"Stalling in the men's room/ Watching all the guys go by./
Giving all the signals/ Trying to catch one on the fly."
The Craig affair "gives Craig's list a new meaning," says Griffin.
