I'm sorry to hear that you've had problems, but I can assure you that The Mad Music Archive was not involved. I've also been a victim of identity theft, and other than a big hassle and a lot of letter-writing, it can be resolved without loss. I urge you to press your card's bank for an investigation.

Believe me, I'm not stupid enough to be involved with fraud on a website that has public forums, blogs and messaging. Nor would I sell my soul for only $77.00.

Considering you've publicly implied that my website is involved, I challenge you to post the name and phone number of the shipping company and the results of your bank's the investigation. I can also produce records from PayPal Credit Card Processing for my transaction as well as my SSL Encryption Certificate if they ask.

If you change the http:// in the address bar to https:// (or go into the Checkout process) you'll see that we have a valid 128-bit encryption SSL Certificate so your personal informaiton is safe here.

You might also want to scan your system for viruses, spyware, trojans and the like. They are the likely culprit. If they are, a new card could be compromised in the same manner whether you shop here or anywhere else.

Perhaps you should have your bank investigate. It might not be related to the MP3 store purchase. You never can tell until the bank gets involved.

Likewise, Wayne should probably take a closer look at how secure the transaction process is. I'm certainly no expert on secure transactions, but I'd be willing to bet that it's nothing Wayne did.... at least intentionally.
