fiogf49gjkf0d As some of you may know, I have been invited to perform at Marscon this year. I appreciate the invitation, and I will be going.
Coming from Columbus, Ohio, to Minneapolis, Minnesota, however is a daunting task, requiring around 12 hours of driving, and around $200 in gas or $300 in air fare. I'm trying to find the means to scrape those funds together. Any suggestions or help in this regard will be considered.
I am also in the process of re-recording my first CD, "The Sound And The Furry". When I first made it, I didn't know diddly squat about recording.
Now I *do* know diddly squat, so, I'm redoing them, to make them sound a lot better. I'm attempting to complete this before Marscon so the newly remastered CDs will be available there.
Speaking of which, if I decide to upload the new recordings, should they replace the old, or be put up in addition to the old, with a (2013 edition) on them?

fiogf49gjkf0d Did we? Who can remember such things? For the sake of peace & quiet, I am Stavro and for now, I'm simply using this non-admin account I set up to help beta test the new site we had to give up on just over 2 years ago. It describes this on Tyro's MadSpace page. www.madmusic.com/madspace.aspx?id=58636
Tyro's avatar is the Cornish St. Piran's Cross. Both accounts often use flags for avatars as vexillology has always been an interest of mine.

fiogf49gjkf0d I believe Stavro and DJ Particle already addressed this.

fiogf49gjkf0d Just going through the posts with this other account and I see I didn't answer this...
Best answer - If tracks are greatly improved by more knowledge & better production, then it's fine to replace the mp3s. If one was played on a show, then mention on the song page that you decided to remake it to improve this or that and everyone else who does this will get it.
Usually, calling a song a different version is for when you're going a different way with the concept and not improving the production values.

fiogf49gjkf0d A year?! To me, the last Marscon seemed to be spoken of 3 weeks ago - or that's what it feels like, anyway. And Xmas was last Tuesday.
