I was worried about still having a voice. The tumor was plum sized, or so I was told. I got to keep my dulcet tones, but no part of the thyroid. Gotta take those damn pills forever.

I know someone else who had thyroid surgery. He was very lucky that his singing voice remained afterward.

Puff the Magic Polyp? I had no desire to sing after my thyroid cancer surgery. Not that I could have anyway. What rhymes with 'neck dissection'? Best not to think about it.
