Back in 1984, there was a telephone entertainment line called "California Comments" ran by a 14 year old kid named Rich. Rich would later go on to call himself "Rich E. Calcom" and the name of the phone line was eventually shorted to REC. Back in those days, "REC" would over produce 200 "commentline" recordings. These are recordings of people calling into a phone line and leaving a comment (also known as "input"). Their comment would be played back on the next episode. During that time, many strange productions done by REC and others aired on the line.

Around 2005, REC audio productions would resurface as full length radio shows, funny sketches and parody songs on the W0KIE Satellite Radio Network.

"Rich" would later come out to the world that the person responsible for this stuff is a transsexual and has started a transition to living in the female role. Although used for many years unofficially, "Rich" finally does a name change to "Michelle A. Eyre". The name "Michi-chan" is a Japanese parody of the name Michelle as Michi was into Japanese animation and popular music. During the 90's through the 2000's, REC operated POWERPUFF-FM, a radio station that played cartoon themes and eventually anime music. The anime music would eventually spin off to a station called "Anime Hardcore Radio", a multi-channel audio service. Eventually, a Japanese popular music (JPOP) channel called Hardcore J would be created. Only Hardcore J exists to this day.

The name "Srap All Around" is a parody of a JPOP music group called "Attack All Around" or is commonly referred to as "AAA". The word "srap" comes from a word used on the W0KIE Satellite Radio Network to express displeasure towards another person's actions ("oh, the Lady is going to give me a srapping for what I did.").

Michelle still operates REC Networks, which provides broadcast data to the general public and to commercial clients. She also operates Michi-chan Roller Sports Productions, which produces roller derby videos and a blog called "The Arizona Derby Report". With her interest in roller derby, she is an advisor to the Old School Derby Association and is a nationwide authority on the issue of transgendered skaters in the sport of roller derby.
