Mr. Weird Al Yankovic says to "Squeeze All The Charmin You Can, While Mr. Whipple's not around" in his DEVO tribute song "Dare To Be Stupid."

--- BorisBadenov
And far more interesting things to squeeze :)

Hey Wayne, in honor of Mr. Whipple's passing on, for show #101 can we request something appropriate to kick off the show? There might be some Charmin songs out there but the one I can think off right off the bat is

Squeezebox -- The Who

i never understood why you'd want to squeeze T.P. anyway. i have far more important things to do with it!

that said,it's always a shame to see another person added to the "in memorium" category.

dd

would it be wrong to bury him holding a package of charmin?

I found a sample of the song Don't Squeeze My Sharmon by Charlie Walker.

It was originally released on Charlie's album of the same name and Carl Belew also did a rendition of it on his album "Twelve Shades".

I have (someplace) an old KTel cassette (Kooky Kountry) with Don't Squeeze My Sharmon, by Charlie Walker. I'd love to hear it.

Kooky Kountry has been rereleased on CD and Don't Squeeze My Sharmon is still on it.

Toward the end Mr. Whipple gave up and said go ahead and squeeze -- no one was listening to him anyway.

Speaking of which, any Mythbusters fans around? One of Adam Savage's earliest on-camera efforts was as Mr. Whipple's stockboy in a Charmin commercial.

So is alright now to squeeze it or is it still wrong ?

Also did Dick ever record a song ?

I think lots of times stars enjoy it when you mention things they've done that are a bit off the beaten path, or are completely unrelated to their acting. I got to meet Wil Wheaton once at a gaming con many years ago. We had a great time talking about geeky stuff like gaming and didn't mention Wesley Crusher once, except when I pointed to a button he was wearing and said I liked it. If I remember right it said something like "Will Wesley Crusher please report to the airlock"

I met him once, here in Vegas. He was playing a poker machine at the casino I worked at at the time. I think I did my self proud, in that I didn't mention his commercial alter ego, just complimented him on his work in Bewitched and Hogan's Heroes. Then he brought up Mr. Whipple by mentioning that he was still working from time to time by appearing in character on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He seemed a real nice guy, and I wish I had had more time to talk to him, but my break was only 20 minutes long, and by my next one, he had left.

IIRC, In the last of the commercials the "Whipple" character was in, he had changed his mind about squeezing the Charmin ;)
