I know it's too late, but I should have requested "I'd Love my Baby if She had Two Heads" from the Dr Demento Basement Tapes CD #4.
That's a good one.
Oh Well.

Actually I pulled it because it was just the preliminary playlist. It's never final until I record the show.

BTW, I didn't get the Mic today {frown}. If it doesn't come in tomorrow I'll go buy a cheapie one so I can at least get the show done.

--- Stavro288
I think I can explain that. A while back, the list on the show page got flipped upside down with the oldest shows put on top. Today it was fixed, but the playlist for the new show was taken down. Perhaps he just wanted to change something.

--- karlap
It's gone.

No sooner done than said. Take a look at the playlist.

ARRRRGH!

No show tonight - my microphone died! {crud}

Yeah, I should have predicted that after the horrible job it did last week. I've been monkeying with it for 2 hours and having no luck at all.

Some nice present for my 100th show, huh?

Oh well. I orderd a new (really, really nice) one from my audio equipment supplier and am having them ship it FedEx Priority so I should have it by Tuesday night.

I'll post the show as soon as I can record and mix it!

I'll request it too.
There are actually 3 versions on his albums.
1. The Bob and Tom studio version is on Picky, Picky, Picky when he premered the song and they are of course laughing obnoxiously through the whole thing.

It might be too late to mention this but maybe my song 6-headed might make a good song for this show ?

Here are the lyrics:

6-Headed by Art Paul Schlosser

Chorus:
3-6 headed, 3-6 headed
3-6 headed, 3-6 headed
Martins coming ! , Martins Coming !
Are you running ? Are you running ?

1. Step right up and be abducted
By 3-6 headed martins
They won’t eat you, their not hungry
They just want to terrorize you

2. You wake up and you realize
It was just a dream
Then you look outside your window
And you see a giant spaceship

3. Hey is that Santa ? Is he on his sleigh ?
I don’t know: Maybe it is ? Maybe it’s not ?
He’s coming down the chimney but his suit is green
and he’s got 6 heads

Hey check it out at the mp3 store here !

Speaking of songs that take up so much time: how about "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall" :) (kidding)

I would like to add my votes to:

"Count to Ten"
"99 Words for Boobs"
"50 Ways to Lose Your Luggage"

and speaking of bottles of beer "9 Coronas"

--- peterpuck9
I guess it mentions some numbers, but it takes up so much time. I'd rather hear some other number songs.

If it does make #1, I vote for an extra segment in the show.

You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant (excepting Alice)

--- HalfBee
At this time of year I'm surprised nobody mentioned Alice's Restaurant...
You remember Alice... and the twenty-seven 8 by 10 glossy photos with the circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one...

Fits both seasonal and numbers (in a small way) but it's one that has to be planned in order to air due to the length...

I'll second whichever version of One Eye Love is the longest and silliest.

--- thesuspence
I'll request it too.
There are actually 3 versions on his albums.
1. The Bob and Tom studio version is on Picky, Picky, Picky when he premered the song and they are of course laughing obnoxiously through the whole thing.
2. I was thinking that the 2nd recording on Differnt was a professional studio recording, but now I'm thinking that that was also a live (audiance laughing) recording too. I need to go home and check now. Darn my cloudy memory. It seems like I remember thinking "why would he do another live version on the very next album?" I hope now I'm remembering wrong.
3. The extended live version with extra verses was a bonus track on Pretending I'm Not Home.

--- Marcus Tee
I just notice that

One Eye Love - Heywood Banks

was played twice on The Mad Music Show, but there are three entries in the songs section here. The first is a performance before a rather large audience (not a very good version) and the other two seem to be the an earlier version that was played live on the radio. So to qualify my request, it should be the one that *has* been played here before.

It's got to go to number one. Vote people, vote!

"Shoot" is indeed a great bit, but it's too long for Wayne to play and it's not even number related. Though he could include only that part of the bit. I wrote it all out, so it wouldn't be too hard. Five Twos is a short bit from Carlin's "Playin' With Your Head" album. I kind of know he can't play it because of the content- "I never f*cked a 10, but one night I f*cked five twos." He can't play the Richard Pryor bit I requested for the same reasons. But it's all good stuff and there's no harm in asking.

I had a look and saw that the written out title "Twelve Hundred..." I marked 'Duplicate page. Delete' some time ago, so it must be on one of the older error lists I sent Wayne. This sort of thing is on my list of 'things I'd like to have access to fix myself'. If he reads this and has misplaced them, I can send him the lists again. Right now, priority goes to getting the 'Bathroom Humor' show out and fixing the difficulties with the 'friends' MadSpace function. Maybe you've encountered them.

And I still think a tune about rubber hamsters and/or asphalt aardvarks would be pretty 'mad'...
