This is getting complicated..... In the event that a MMS Theme Song Contest becomes a reality and Marcus Tee decides to enter the Stairway To Mad Music song, I want it to be very clear that Marcus Tee is the writer of the song. I am proud to have been granted the opportunity to lend my voice to it (although my throat complained bitterly..... getting old sucks). I've taken the liberty of adding it to my MySpace page (www.myspace.com/bobguest58) so you can have a chance to hear it... But if Marcus Tee says take it down (before I take it down in my normal rotation) I will do so as quickly as possible.
I don't use "Sick Puppy" as a MySpace name because that's not who I really am. I call myself Sick Puppy here because I joined back when this was still primarily a Doctor Demento fansite, and I wasn't really expecting the community would take off the way it did. And with the more mundane user base at MySpace, the name Sick Puppy would likely label me as a stalker or something.
Note to SpongeBobLuvr.... I have found that Geocities remains midi friendly. I used it to post my midi work back before MP3 was even possible for the average user and some still remain on my Geocities website.

I once had a MySpace account, but I never used it, so I got rid of it. I don't think it'll do me any good to make another one. I have completed over 35 sequences, and I plan on sharing most of or all of them right here. But I've waited so long that I haven't announced new sequences in my blog for about a month and a half.
And Wayne, if you're reading this, make sure to make an annnouncement when it finally is ready!

You are confused. Sick Puppy (Bob Guest) did Rosedale Manor. I (Marcus Tee) did not write Rosedale Manor, I (Marcus Tee) wrote Stairway To Mad Music to which Sick Puppy (Bob Guest) recorded the vocals. That is what this thread is all about, The MMS Theme Song Contest. And why I (Marcus Tee) wrote the song.

Please forgive me, but I have 6 MySpace profiles, so I get a bit forgetful about who is my friend where...I didn't see anyone called Sick Puppy on my friends list. Do you use a different moniker there?

But even if I could find you there the jukebox plays sometimes and other times it doesn't come up with the webpage.
I am very confused about why this is ?
Do you think it is because I use an apple computer or because there are way to many people on myspace.
So I suggest you also get a soundclick.com page which might be easier for me to listen to it but it's no big deal either way.
I mean I would like to hear your song but I don't want to to be a bother to you.

Technical difficulties and computer configuration problems prevented me from recording it. I only just got things headed in the right direction when the Halloween song contest came along.
If my wife can hold off on making me clean the garage for just one more weekend, I may be able to get the thing recorded and sent to Wayne within the next few days... and I'll come up with "something completely different" (I know somebody's going to pick up on that one) for whatever comes of a theme song contest.

Well, it looks like a Holiday song contest will come first. Hopefully one that would give a chance to not only write about Christmas, but could include Thanksgiving, New Year's, Hanakah or the post-Christms exchange and shopping season.

But it seems to me that if people go through the effort to write a song there should be some tangible incentive for them, such as its being played on the show. Positive exposure is a good thing...

I'd write it, but I have no time these days, what with full-time school and piles of homework. I am only now getting around to jotting down some ideas for a Halloween song...for next year, of course.
It will take me that long to come up with something worthy of this year's winner.
