he also introduced the world to dolly parton. i was never a big country fan, but there are names i remember from my youth,and his was one.

Porter Wagoner was a "Grand Ole Opry" and Television star, but from the way that he dressed in rhinestone suits, to singing about the "Carroll County Accident" and "The Rubber Room" he was also very demented artist (in a good way).

It would be a nice tribute to play "Carroll County Accident" in his memory.
