Problem is many of these are re-issues and not the original sides. I think most of his original recordings were released on either Okeh or Columbia and those are the ones I'm interested in. LP Discography is a good source for finding information on when records were released. Unfortunately they have no discography on Bob Wills.

	fjrigjwwe9r2threads:MessageText fiogf49gjkf0d Bob Wills did record on the Vocalion label.... and also for Brunswick (which owned Vocalion after about 1925). I don't know the catalogue or matrix numbers for the record in question, but at least these label names might be a start.

I would like to know if this song was really in the can for over 3 years or was it released prior to 1942. I am trying to compile a Bob Wills singles discography and if anyone out there has some straight from the horse's mouth reliable facts I would like to hear from you. I also would like to know the actual release dates for San Antonio Rose" recorded same time as above, and "New San Antonio Rose" recorded april 1940. Thanks to anyone who can help me.
