Sorry folks - I couldn't get the show done last night. I was getting ready to record the tracks and mix the show when I took a break (been working all day on many projects). I simply fell asleep in the chair (I guess I was more tired than I thought). I'll post it as soon as I can, but I have an evening appointment tonight so it will probably be tomorrow).

Nations of the World: Yakko Warner (Georgraphy)

The Spectrum Song: Ludvig Von Drake (Art)

Count to Ten: Paul and Storm (Math)

Edit: How could I forget to request "I'm Just A Bill" from Schoolhouse Rock fame (Civics) and if possible the Simpsons' parody of the song (Amendment to Be)

Here are a couple Home Economic requests:

"Peanut Butter Sandwich" by Shel Silverstein (includes the line: "...all that they could learn in school was how to make a peanut butter sandwich.")

and also

"Have a Peanut Butter Sandwich" by Art Paul (this may be stretching it a bit with the "back to school" theme, but fits nicely with the Shel Siverstein piece.)

If we are talking about other schools, then we might want to hear Bob's Dog Obiedience School and Taxadermy Shop by Michael Longcor.

OK here is a twist on going back to school, but this is for the canine variety.

For those who remember the English dog trainer of 20 or so years ago, with her catchphrase 'walkies"

She was parodied by The Barron Knights with a song which I think was called "Walkies"

It may be a dog training center, but it is still a school.

Here are my Grammar requests:

Grammar Police – Possible Oscar
Oxymoron – Nuclear Bubble Wrap
Silent E – Tom Lehrer
Exclamations – Brobdingnagian Bards
Epithets - Paul & Storm (radio edit)

For Reading I would love to hear Jimmy Durante's "Day I Read a Book" (I don't remember when, but one of these days I'm going to do it again!) I remember one of his uses for a book was to balance the uneven leg of his pool table. This may be difficult to find. My dad used to play this on vinyl when I was a little tot.

Hello Cap'n and friends,

Haven't posted in a while, but still been listening! This topic brought up a lot of songs I'd like to hear:

The Principle's Office by Young MC - One of my favs from when I was in Junior High

School Days by Chuck Berry

High School Never Ends by Bowling for Soup

School Cafeteria by Weird Al Yankovic

And I wasn't sure if it was Mad enough, by why not request it anyway:

Hot for Teacher by Van Halen
