Hey Minnick

Been exploring this site since your post, it was like being shipwrecked on a desert island and discovering that is was Hugh Hefner's summer retreat.

Thanks Heaps.

Alex.

A friend of mine just let me know about this site:

www.freeotrshows.com

Not a very pretty site, but lots more old time radio shows to listen to for free.

aren't those the "crack a smileys" developed by grad students at MIT? so nice to see these new advancements in technology. makes a guy feel like life is worth living after all.

i believe that is the ancient shmooligainian language of shmoolish. often considered a dead language,it is spoken only in the most demented circles. if shmooly is a top 40 fanatic as well, this may get yet another reaction....

i've mentioned this before, but it's always worth repeating: top 40 junkies can hear old "boss radio" broadcasts at www.reelradio.com

Not to worry, Otrcat has a couple of CD's full of Jack Benny.

There is a thing in the iTunes store in the podcasts that has classic radio shows, I found it when I found TMMA, I just wish that they had more of my favorite show, Jack Benny.

That is a good site, and although it is free, it is very limited in the number of shows compared to Otrcat site.

I don't think he has updated the files for some number of years.

I've also bought from Jon in the past and can recommend them. Also have a look at www.otrtoday.com as they have some great UK OTR as well as old faves from the States.

Hey Danny.

The site is great, I have been purchasing CD's off him for a few years now, and have even contributed some shows myself.
For those who love old time radio programs, I also recommend it.

here's a site that sells old radio shows. pretty cheap, and a very extensive catalog. you can also hear sample shows (not just clips) for free. that alone could keep someone busy for hours! i just listened to an abbott and costello show that featured mel blanc in a couple of roles. those guys are still...and will always be ...hilarious.
