This is a longshot as it has only been played on New Strokes and has not yet earned any points, but I really like My Cat Was Taking A Bath Remix. Maybe for 2008???
Meanwhile, Scary Techno Song # 5006 (The Remix) got 3 more points on 11/23 (at #18) and is very much in the running.

Derelict In My Doorway with 206 points is still in #1 position -- but only by 2 points, and has NOT yet qualified for the December ballot.

Despite DT's announcement on the show (at the end of segment 9) the current ballot will NOT be the last chance for songs on Extended Stay including Hey Lets Talk (The Remix) and Derelict In My Doorway. Cutoff time for remaining November ballots is midnight EDT Monday night 11/19 for the 11/23 show, and 11/26 for the 11/30 show.
So you have TWO more chances to go to dt20.dfsxradio.com scroll all the way down to Extended Stay, and vote for Derelict In My Doorway by Automatic Pilot. And keep voting for Say Mongoose and put that song in the running for 2007 as well.

Dec 21 (unaired chart where the rankings are tripled for all of the top 20 songs of the week, and that will be used for the Dementia Top 50 of 2007 for Dec 21 and 28)
That's 200 potential points left for the year of 2007. It's possible that any song that is that lucky will make it to #2 if it's not already on the chart.
Getting a lot of people to vote every week will help. The #1 song of the week is getting over 30 votes.
The songs that are still struggling after they were introduced in July or later may still be on the ballot in January, but the more popular ones will be having their last appearrance on the ballot in December.
So there's still time.

However, my joy is tempered by the unfortunate fact that one of my overexuberant fans cheated by voting more than once - he got caught by bragging about it and by using phony passwords. DT and I straightened it out before the show aired, and I do believe it was limited to this one incident (NOT someone from this board). My apologies to DT and to all artists, listeners, and honest voters.

Derelict In My Doorway and Doughnut Shop Dream have been on DT20 for a total of 4 appearances; Bobbing for Apples and Sit on My Face are currently in general rotation. Of the 8 songs originally on the ballot (listed under "Added January 2007"), 7 are still there. I take that as a compliment from DFSX listeners; I've seen much higher attrition rates!
Voting for the show of March 9-11 is now underway. If you plan to listen to this weekend's show (March 2-4), please hold off voting until then, so you can use the "doubling password" given during the show, as long as you vote before midnight Monday evening March 4.

David has played Automatic Pilot tracks on the New Strokes segment every week beginning Jan 19 (this week it was the live version of Doughnut Shop Dream) and has kept several songs in general rotation.
Again, I thank David for his continued support, and ask MMA members to help keep up the momentum.

At least three artists are getting a lion's share of the votes for next weekend's DT20 survey. The rest (you know who you are if you don't see your songs in the top 20) better get busy with your fans. :-)
