It’s morning time and I just woke up. I got 4 hours of sleep. I can barely walk, I can barely think I can barely make a peep. I stumble over to my kitchen tripping over all 12 cats I grab some coffee from my freezer Can I even manage that? I grind up all the beans in the grinder in which I grind my beans And I fill up my big ol’ french press ‘cause I ain’t got no machine. Set my timer for four minutes and try to stay awake that long When it goes beep-beep, it’s time to push down the thingee but the thingee’s force is strong! I’m such a weary man. Can you understand? Morning time is rough. I push down the thingee even though it’s tough. I pour myself a cup. Come on, do your stuff. I take a little sip But before a breath can leave my lips, The almighty bean whispers its words to me as it grinds into tiny powder. But you’ll hear it exclaim combined with water and flame! Yes it’s words got so much louder. It’s 3PM, I’m at work somehow I don’t remember driving. And my inbox, it is overflowing and there’s even more arriving. But I’m tired again, so I take a break so I don’t take a snooze And I walk down to the Starbucks in my Starbucks walking shoes. So I get up to the counter. And the barista’s Jimmy Shy And he’s trying to joke around with me But I’ve got a slow reaction time I try to respond with word play But my brain just won’t respond I can’t make with the talk good without a talk good magic wand! I’m such a weary man. Can you understand? Jimmy, you’re my dude And I hope I don’t come off as rude, But please pour me a cup So I can wake up I take a little sip But before a breath can leave my lips, The almighty bean whispers its words to me as it grinds into tiny powder.
