Carol Cartoon was recorded using studio musicians. Paul Dreyfuss (formally managed by Johnny Nash) sang lead and Johnny Cymbal sang the refrain. After it was recorded Paul Dreyfuss formed a group and appeared as The Eye-Full Tower along with Joe Nesor on bass, Jimmy Fracassi on lead guitar and a drummer. Johnny Cymbal wrote it and named the group but did not appear with them. Soon after there was a problem with the management (not with Johnny Cymbal) and the group broke up. There was no other records from them. It was released on SSS International in the U.S. and on Polydor in Europe.
