Song Lyrics:
I'm no moral degenerate,
I'm just a normal, red-blooded boy.
I have almost no kind of wish,
To kill crush or destroy,
But there's films of violence,
And deadly Kung Fu,
So why not a little
porno too?
Thank god for porno,
You're OK by me!

I heard this song (more than once, I believe) on the Dr. Demento show in the late '70s, on a radio station in Los Angeles (probably KMET). Here's what I remember:

==========
Now I ain't no moral degenerate [snort]
I'm just a normal, red-blooded boy.
And I'd rather put a gun to my head
than to hurt or destroy.
But when nature calls, it's come what may
And my girlfriend said she's gone for the day
Thank god for porno, you're OK by me.

Thank god for porno
it's as fine as fine can be.
Thank god for porno
It's something you oughta see.
Well, it's over and under, and in and out;
It sure looks like fun to me.
And I'm sitting back waiting for the day
that I can watch it on my TV!

TY, mheitowit. it would be pretty terrifying to contemplate that i would be able to sing a verse of this song on demand having heard it only once in 1977. it is not much less terrifying to think that I might have heard it 5 or 6 times. a mind is a terrible thing.
er... I am assuming this is the Johnny Baltimore of Hot Nuts fame?

The show is posted on the Doctor Demento website. I believe that you can listen to it for $2.

Well, I don't think this Johnny Baltimore is the one on Wikipedia.

Since it was #14 on the Nifty Fifty of 1977, It must have got some play during 1977.

There's a lot of that on this site. It's only the tunes in my head that keep me from going completely insane.

As for the song, Dr. Demento played it only once - on his local show. Even we don't have it. However, all genres of music are so much more accessible now through 'teh internets'. Some site or individual will have it if one looks around long enough.
