Last night in Denver I saw Jonathan Coulton and Paul and Storm live. I thought they'd never come here, but apparently they had before. The show was to put it lightly, amazing cubed.

First up was Paul and Storm, their set was very well performed. Their harmony vocals are so great, your really have to know your lyrics to be able to do the stuff these guys do. They were really funny improving with audience, and they were pretty much the perfect Opening Band.

Then of course next was the legendary Jonathan Coulton. I had no idea one man with one guitar could rock so much. He plays some really complex chords which is hard to do on it's own, but all the while he's singing pitch perfect to it, INSANE! During the set Paul and Storm helped out with maybe a third of the songs on backing vocals.

Then after the show we waited for 15 minutes or so and the gang of musicians wandered toward the CD selling booth. Luckily before the show even began between us me and Patrick bought everything both acts had ever recorded, so their was much CD-age to sign. I talked to all o 'em, I talked to Storm about CD printings, I talked to Paul about Bofore Radio and about how every band is destined to hate their first album/horrible demos, then I talked to Coulton about his influence on us as an act, and where he's performed before.

So all in all, best night ever? Perhaps. It was a really good show, and it was great to meet so key inspirations of mine in person.
