2021 will start off with some bad news in regards to my show Wackiness On The Rise (no I am not ending or postponing the show again). After giving it some thought, I decided that I will be discontinuing the Dumb Newsbreak at the end of the month. Lately I haven't been having a good time recording the segment and that's partly because of trying to find the right stories to read, the lack of submissions I get (which is never), and trying to find the motivation to record it. I've had the Dumb Newsbreak on the show since 2018 and while the first two years were fun, it's run in 2020 felt like it was going downhill not just because it was 2020 but that many stories I look for on a Reddit page called News of the Stupid (Devo Spice recommended that page) never seem to focus on actual stupid news articles about someone doing something stupid. They seemed more focused on posting articles about Trump because of whatever he says and does. And nine times out of ten, every article they post is already on the page and sometimes it's an outdated article because some never check the release date. Oh and lately some "stupid" stories involve the COVID vaccines which have probably been posted by anti-vaxxers.

Other than that, I just haven't been having a good time recording the Dumb Newsbreak anymore and I think it's time to retire the segment. So on January 29th, that's the last time you'll get to hear the Dumb Newsbreak and January 30th will also mark it's final run on A-Log On The Airwaves. It was a fun experience during the first two years of it's run but like I said, it's run from last year just wasn't fun anymore. And I took this lesson from a favorite YouTuber: "If it's no longer fun... stop." I hope everyone has enjoyed the Dumb Newsbreak on my show and A-Log's show. As the old saying goes: "All good things must come to an end."

In the meantime, I still have the final parts of my first Wackiness On The Rise of 2021 to record and I have one change to make in my first edition of the Bonus Cut which premiers today. Be sure to check out my first show of the new year and let's work together to make 2021 a more safe and healthier time and an even more wackier time.
