Another change and this time it's the last one. I am scrapping the children's song show, which I'll probably reschedule in 2021, and this time I replaced it with something I think I should do before 2020 ends.

9/18/2020: episode 191 (50 years of Dr. Demento)

This year is the 50th anniversary of The Dr. Demento Show and even though COVID ruined the entire year, we're still gonna pay tribute to the show's 50th anniversary but only for a half hour. With that, that is the last change I am making because all the other shows for the month of September stay the way they are. In a few weeks I will then be posting all the playlists for October, November and December so keep an eye out for those.

Made a last minute change on episode 191, not episode 192 as I accidentally had written down for September 18th.

9/18/2020: episode 192 (the funnier side of children's music)

I don't know how I accidentally skipped episode 191 but let me show you half of the fixed results for September.

9/11/2020: episode 190 (buses)

9/18/2020: episode 191 (the funnier side of children's music)

9/25/2020: episode 192 (preparing for the Election)

I gave up on the spaghetti idea and decided to go for funny children's songs as kind of a sequel to the nursery rhymes and fairy tales show coming up next Friday.

We now have a completed playlist this time for the month of September with two new topics in mind.

9/11/2020: episode 190 (buses)

9/18/2020: episode 192 (spaghetti)

On September 11th, which we know about that day, we'll be playing some songs about buses in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Weird Al classic "Another One Rides The Bus" which made its debut on September 14, 1980 on The Dr. Demento Show. Then on September 18th, we'll be playing songs about spaghetti because it was just a random idea I thought of. Pasta songs count too because spaghetti and pasta are the same thing just called differently. So maybe I should call the show "Spaghetti vs Pasta." And with that, our three month schedule for July, August and September is complete. There might be some changes coming up but I don't think we'll have any unless something comes up.

We have a switcharoo in the schedule for the month of July as well as a newly added subject.

7/17/2020: episode 182 (Pac-Man)

7/31/2020: episode 184 (fairy tales and nursery rhymes)

July 17th was originally suppose to be the fairy tales and nursery rhymes episode but I decided to reschedule that for July 31st as there was no topic on that episode. Taking its place is out tribute to the 40th anniversary of Pac-Man where we play a half hour of some songs made about the classic arcade game and titular character. That means I will be holding off on playing Worm Quartet's new song that was just released this Friday to thefump.com until that episode. This should be a fun episode and I'll look into what Pac-Man songs to play and I already know a few.

I have one update to make and it's two shows for the month of August.

8/7/2020: episode 185 (monkey business)

8/14/2020: episode 186 (chickens)

As you may have noticed, one show is about monkeys and the other one is chickens. I figured with August having two shows involving dogs and cats, I thought I'd dedicated the entire month of August to animals. Somehow monkey songs seemed like an interesting show idea and then I figured with so many songs about chickens we'd have a chicken show. Any new updates will be made soon.

Well the final limited quarantine episode of the show is now up thus closing the chapter. As we are now resuming our weekly production of the show at the beginning of July, I think now is the time to announce what is coming up during the months of July, August and September.

July 2020:

7/3/2020: episode 180 (Wackypendence Day)

7/10/2020: episode 181 (random)

7/17/2020: episode 182 (fairy tales and nursery rhymes)

7/24/2020: episode 183 (Christmas in July)

7/31/2020: episode 184 (unknown)

August 2020:

8/7/2020: episode 185 (unknown)

8/14/2020: episode 186 (unknown)

8/21/2020: episode 187 (dogs)

8/28/2020: episode 188 (cats)

September 2020:

9/4/2020: episode 189 (Logan Award winners)

9/11/2020: episode 190 (unknown)

9/18/2020: episode 192 (unknown)

9/25/2020: episode 193 (preparing for the Election)

We start the month of July with our annual all-American show, or Wackypendence Day show as what I like to call it, and it couldn't be at a perfect time because it's the day before the 4th of July. The following week I figured we'd go random, then on the third week it's wacky songs about fairy tales and nursery rhymes which I had planned to have somewhere between April and May of this year. The fourth week is our annual Christmas in July show which I'm thinking about having every year but we'll work on that. The playlist for this episode is the same from last year with a few additions because I was gonna have a Christmas in July show last year but didn't because I postponed production at the last minute. And the last show of July, I have no idea what will be happening.

August once again kicks off with an unknown show going on until the second week. The third week will be our salute to man's best friend and the fourth show of the month will be our salute to the internet's most beloved animal. At least that's what it seems to be.

Lastly for the month of September, we start off by playing the winners of this year's Logan Awards. Despite the fact that FuMPFeST 2020 isn't happening this year, the event will be an online event instead and the Logan Awards will be an online ceremony this year. I'm going for the first week of September because FuMPFeST was originally scheduled for August 28th to the 30th but if by any chance the Logan Awards are rescheduled then I will make a change on the schedule. The second and third week has no show ideas yet but the fourth and final week concludes with our early look at the Election. We're doing that two months early because by the time November arrives, our first show of the month will be three days after Election Day and it wouldn't feel right having an Election show three days later. So I figured we'd have an Election show on the last week of September especially because October is already scheduled with out annual Halloween shows. That Election show however will have a few songs about our current candidates but we'll be playing past Election songs at the same time.

So that's what's coming up during the next three months. If I come up with any show ideas for any of the unknown schedules I will make an update. Same goes for any show that might be rescheduled. Hope everyone has enjoyed our limited quarantine shows but I think it's time to go back weekly and also bring back the idiocy that is the Dumb Newsbreak.
