This week has been cold. I don't just mean normal cold... I mean really, really cold!! Looking at the local weather reports, it seems it's not going to get warmer any time soon. (Yet a "global warming" story still made it into today's newspaper.)

Fortunately.... I have a plan. Not really a plan as such... More like a convenient coincidence. A vacation (to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday) in the Carribean... visiting Nassau Bahamas, Grand Turk, San Juan Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. All these (quite coincidentally) are within the Bermuda Triangle.

My mother's evil plan to celebrate a milestone birthday by getting her entire family lost in the Bermuda Triangle??? She just gave an evil grin and laughed wickedly when I suggested it to her.

I wish there was a great idea for a song there... But, unfortunately, Tom Smith already used up all the good jokes on the topic. Instead, I guess I'll just have to relax and enjoy the vacation.

See you in a week.

We made it back today... After 10 hours waiting for my flight in the Miami airport. I was wondering... should one trust the baggage retrieval system in an airport that has the identifier, "MIA"? (Or does that only apply to Heathrow?) I was wondering if my luggage would even make it to Detroit. (I crossed the border at Port Huron, into Sarnia.)

Ten hours at the airport also meant we witnessed our gate number being reassigned several times. After a forced tour of the entire terminal we finally boarded at a gate closest to the security gate where we entered.

Speaking of security... I was wondering if I should release a song parody about the TSA and airport security. (Quite a popular topic lately.) I decided to wait for my return and only release it if I did not manage to get through without being subjected to the TSA "random" checks. Since they checked everybody in the line I was in this morning, the song gets released. I'll balance the final mix over the next couple days and then see if I can get it on the FuMP Sideshow.

Have a wonderful vacation and a safe trip.
Be sure to wave to Flight 19 if you happen to see them.
;-) Dave
