I googled the name and wondered if this was the Elvis impersonator I found. If so, why was he imitating Redd Foxx?

You're right, they're not. But every Elvis impersonator must get tired of The King's comparatively limited catalog (that they can get away with performing - those religious albums of his wouldn't fly) and start doing the hits of others just to break up the monotony.

And we arrive in the gray area again. If 'Elvis' plays it straight, it's not dementia, but if he doesn't, you get into a "Big Daddy" situation - a band playing new songs in an old style for laughs.

Doug Church is also an Elvis Impersonator /Tribute Artist, he did a couple of songs Like Billy Idols's "Mony Mony" imitating Elvis, I don't think these count as dementia type tunes do they?

No, you can add the page www.madmusic.com/artist_details.aspx?ArtistID=12372 as it qualifies as dementia, but if I suddenly see a mess of mundane Doug Church songs appear along with it, I'm going to stomp them like a narc at a biker rally.

There are mundane pages we have to include as they're bgm for the shows and need crediting or the lawyers may go after Wayne again. There are a couple of other reasons for mundane song pages, but as a rule, I try to keep such pages to a minimum.

so its a "no go" (not going on here)?

It works, but it drags. If Dr. D. played that (a very big if), his first thought would be to cut it down to considerably less than 5 minutes. He loves doing that. If I didn't just wake up, I could rattle off names of tunes he's done this to.

I'd give it a page, but add how it drags in the facts box...if I didn't think a pile of questionable Doug Church songs would suddenly appear that I'd have to merge/delete...when I was feeling better.
