fiogf49gjkf0d Happy holidays everyone! Wacky Ben here and I'm here to bring you guys a holiday update in regards to the end of Ben's Wacky Radio and the future beginning of my new show.
First off I do want to thank everyone who has listened to Ben's Wacky Radio during the four years I've been part of madmusic.com, and if anyone has possibly discovered the show during my WQNA days that's a real honor to because I didn't think I had much of an audience. I would continue to host another year of Ben's Wacky Radio, making it 12 years, but I honestly believe that now is the time to put an end to the show. Our final episode will go up on Sunday and it is of course the Wacky 30 of 2015 and this will be a 3-hour episode and I already got the countdown recorded in advance while also recording the final Christmas show and all I have left is the first half of hour one to record tonight and then everything is all set and ready. If I were to continue hosting Ben's Wacky Radio I had already planned to discontinue the weekly Wacky 3 because to quote DJ Particle "art shouldn't be a contest" and I agree with her on that.
The last thing I want to talk about is that I think I may have found a new title for my new show and I might either call it The Podcast Of Wackiness or The Wackycast. Sometime next year I do plan to record a pilot episode just to give the listeners a sneak peek on how the show will be like and then when the right time comes I will record and post the official first episode of my new show. The pilot is sort of the unofficial first episode of the new show and the new show as I have intended will be a one hour show instead of two and personally I think a one hour show will be all for the best. And for the time being I will be playing podsafe songs on the new show, basically any comedy song under the creative commons license and I'll hopefully find songs under the public domain. Hopefully in the near future I'll be able to play the same songs I've played on Ben's Wacky Radio.
So that is my update and I guess this might be my end of the year update as of now so if I don't make anymore updates before the end of the year then expect to hear more in 2016. I hope you guys will enjoy my new show whenever it begins and I hope you enjoy the final episode of Ben's Wacky Radio when it goes up on Sunday. Take care and have a Merry Christmas.
