fiogf49gjkf0d Another important update: instead of ending in 2016, Ben's Wacky Radio will actually end this year instead right after I post The Wacky 30 of 2015. Once again this isn't goodbye because I still have a new podcast in mind but I don't know exactly when it will begin. I apologize for ending the show this year but I'm just ready to move on.

fiogf49gjkf0d With only two months left until the end of 2015 I have an announcement to make in regards to the future of my podcasting career. In 2016, it will be the final season of Ben's Wacky Radio after a 12 year run (12 years begins in January). I am planning to retire the show and move into a new direction in comedy podcasting where I hope to continue bringing the wackiness to the internet. With my plans to make a new show I plan to make a bunch of changes from focusing more on songs released via the internet from podsafe songs from the FuMP to songs released on iTunes, Amazon, YouTube, and if there are any novelty songs in the public domain I am always willing to play those. Some other ideas I have in mind are reading articles about dumb criminals and other dumb news stories (almost like Devo Spice's "News Of The Stupid" segment), interview artists and bands releasing a new album, and just talk about stuff that's in relation to comedy and nerd media.
With all these changes I figured this would not suit well for Ben's Wacky Radio hence why I am planning to retire the name towards the end of 2016. Now when 2017 arrives I have no intention to immediately start my new show because I'd have to first get things prepared. I should also point out that unlike Ben's Wacky Radio there will be no topics on this new show except if it's a holiday real or fictional. Also with the end of Ben's Wacky Radio that also means that next year will also be the end of our annual Wacky 30 countdown since I have no plans to include a weekly top 3 or 5 countdown on my new show.
Now don't think I won't be on madmusic.com anymore because once I inform Cap'n Wayne about these changes I will still host my new comedy podcast right here on this site. I might still post episodes of my new show on Sundays. Now what about hours? Usually podcasts go on until the DJ is ready to end the show but I'm still debating if I want to continue making a 2-hour show or drop it to either an hour or an hour and a half. I still have time to figure this out.
So that is my announcement for now. 2016 will be the final year for Ben's Wacky Radio and 2017 will make my new journey into comedy podcasting with a new show and a new direction. More updates will be made in the near future.
