For a change of pace (because we're almost out of the NMCB Austin mp3s, if anyone has them, contact Captain Wayne or me and I'll upload them and list them), we got to Tuscaloosa for that version of NMCB. She plays a lot more songs per hour but doesn't seem to back announce most of the songs. I recognized some of them, but for the others with a question mark, the listeners will have to help us fill in the titles and artists.

Among the bigger dementia stars heard are the Dead Alewives, Larry Weaver, Monty Python, Luke Ski, Stephen Lynch, Ogden Edsl, Tim Cavanagh, The Brobdingnagian Bards, Leonard Nimoy, and Richard Cheese, plus some Sifl and Olly for you, and a whole bunch of mystery artists!

PS: No retro NMCB next week as a special Humpday ISGD (Groucho's 125th) will go live next Wednesday for the featured madmusic.com Humpday Special.

In this edition (which was joined in progress by mp3 so the first song that was played got cut off), we hear Logan Whitehurst who had just released his 2003 album Goodbye My Four Track, plus They Might Be Giants, a nerdy rhyme about the Lord of the Rings, a demented cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit and Ghostbusters, a song about no pants day, and more.

You're not going to believe what odd songs I found. OK, he played some familiar acts like Power Salad and Worm Quartet as well as a song about the sound of worms, but a new wave cover of a Led Zeppelin song? A lounge version of a punk song? Check it out here.

A Nummy Muffin Cocoa Butter from October 2, 2003 runs 50 minutes long because the host was 10 minutes late. Anyway, we have on tap Space Ghost, Devo Spice when he was Sudden Death, The Four Postmen, Snot Roquemore, Austin Lounge Lizards, Lonnie Donegan, and a lot of really rare novelty recordings that were never heard since 2003 and many I can't identify. If you can help, just stream the show and let any of the playlist mods know what to fix in the playlist.

In this retro Nummy Muffin Cocoa Butter from September 11, 2003, we don't hear the Mario Cart theme song (whichever one it is) open the show. We hear some demented rap classics to begin the first part, then we hear some rarities that were dug up from oblivion such as ones by Shad-Rapp, The Bards, Gunnar Madsen, Owen Egerton, SNMNMNM, The Judys (which song I can't find on youtube, more on that soon), Pat McCurdy, and Stan Freberg.

The last four out of five songs were replaced with better copies of the songs due to the mp3 skipping.

Dig in and enjoy!

Apologies. Due to a computer change, there is no retro Nummy Muffin Cocoa butter this week. I'll have this weekend's ISGD show this Saturday.

And for this one, we play some rarities and more from Throwing Toasters, Headpiece, Fitz, Steve Goodie, Chaston and Groditski, and some well known stuff from Luke Ski, Stan Freberg, Larry Groce, and there is a theme going on for the first six songs in the show!

Note: if anyone has past episodes of any comedy music shows, let us know. We can upload most of the radio shows that once ran on the Internet or a college radio station of the past.

In this retro episode of Nummy Muffin Cocoa Butter, we explore Deirdre Flint's then-new album, a bluegrass cover of an AC/DC song, Stan Freberg,
a song by Broadside Electric, a group lost in the past until we dug it up, a cover of a Sade song of 1985 (hint: I parodied it as Computer Operator a few years ago), a 1997 demented classic gets played again, an insane hit single from 1966, and more surprises!

We now present another throwback episode of a past funny music show.

In this episode of MMCB, we hear from Good Old Mrs. Goldmark and her son Tony in separate recordings, Spike Jones, a Christmas in July classic, Consortium of Genius, and some other artists you might recognize and some rarities that were once lost in the land of dementia until we unearthed them in a unscientific expedition to unearth past episodes of funny music shows that once ran on educational radio stations in the 1990s and 2000s.

And here's another retro Nummy Muffin Cocoa Butter. It's from July 3, 2003. Might be some familiar singers just like the last one.
