I've got some news about some upcoming performances. But first, if you want to take advantage of the FuMP's January Subscriber drive which gets you one free month and the USB drive with all of 2013's music on it you have until tomorrow night to subscribe. If you're already a subscriber you can buy the drive in the store, but the offer ends at midnight tomorrow night. We will not be selling any extra USB drives so if you want one this is the only way to get one.
OK, shows. First, some bad news. Due to some disputes with the hotel, Chi-Fi has been effectively canceled. They are going to have a one-day event on that Saturday and call it Chi-Fi 0 but it won't be the big weekend convention with various FuMP acts performing that they were hoping. I believe Luke will still be going and setting up a FuMPFest table to take registrations, but I won't be there.
Instead, I'll be taking part in the Philadelphia Funny Songs Fest. This is an offshoot of the New York Funny Songs Fest except that (as its name suggests) it is taking place in Philadelphia on March 29th and 30th. I don't have any additional information about my schedule or who else is performing yet. Their web site is phillyfunnysongs.tumblr.com so keep an eye on that for details.
I do have some details about MystiCon, however (www.mysticon-va.com). I have two concerts. The first one will be Friday night at 10:00 pm. The second will be Saturday evening at 6:00 pm. Friday night's concert will be the usual Devo Spice show. Saturday's concert will be my Doctor Who CD release party where I'll perform as many songs from the album as time will allow. That's assuming I get the album done in time which requires me to get my *%$@&! computer working again. But that's a rant I'm saving for next week's Manic Mondays.
