fiogf49gjkf0d My flagship funny audio show "I Still Get Demented" has undergone a format tweak for the year of 2014.
Some of the things have been phased in over 2013 when the show used to be a three-hour plus show.
One notable thing you may have noticed: no more weekly top 5 charts. This cuts back on repetition on the show. With a two-hour show, and our emphasis on playing as much funny music in a short time as possible, something had to go. On Thanksgiving Day, the return of the Demented Music Poll will allow listeners of ISGD to pick their favorites (new this year or new to ISGD) they heard for the annual Top 50 of 2014.
At the beginning of the second part, you may notice a retro real commercial get played. These are not parody ads. I'm looking for more to feature.
The ISGD Pre Show now runs six minutes. As of now, it will run the Demented Datebook if it's a weekend edition, or if it's a Humpday edition, it will feature 2 or 3 items from the DFSX Vault, a collection of funny recordings that the now defunct DFSX stream used to play.
The first part will feature a mix of new funny songs as well as some classics and rarities.
The second part will be devoted to one or two single subjects about 45 minutes long total.
The last song of the second part was held over from the waning days of 2013 when it closed the ISGD Bonus Part. This is where the host (i.e. me) gets to be a bit unpredictable and play just about anything he wants to.
Parts one and two total 96 minutes long.
The ISGD Bonus Part is an excursion, going deeper into the category of dementia and runs 14 minutes.
What else is missing are songs that have to be severely bleeped out or edited. Also gone is the Outrageous Weasel as he's no longer doing ISGD Bonus Parts where he gets to play what the main parts of ISGD can't play. He will, however, host the Mad Music Comedy Zone about once every one or two months.

The Demented Music Poll 2014 page is now up. It shows some of the best songs ISGD first played in the year 2014. To get a song listed, at least three people need to nominate a particular song, and if it fits the show's format scope, and it hasn't been featured on ISGD in 2014, it will be added. No more repeatedly requesting the same song every week. Listen to ISGD for the songs, then go to poll.davesfunstuff.com/ and select "Contact" to add them. The DJ might add some songs himself but only the songs he played on his show.
