The mp3s of this show - along with the very last phone request that was with them are hopelessly lost. Meaning that they'll all simply have to be recompiled. No big deal. It'll all just take a bit longer. The script & playlist are fine.

This is a full Mad Music Show. At present, I'm in no condition to do the original concept you can read below justice. I'd have to make it the way 163 was made - as a MMH first and then add segments to build a full MMS. If I had any sense in my head, I'd pick another topic from the big list of ideas I made last year and just do an MMH of one of those.

Too much pain...nothing left to take to deal with it. I'll choose an alternate MMH this week....

When seg. 6 of show 163 is complete, this one will at long last be next.

No cute gimmicks this time. This is another complete show that need only be recorded. Going to stick to the plan for once.

Here's another fun fact about the special. Like some of A-Log's shows, the bgm (What there is of it in this noisy, battle filled show) of 161 will consist of cute anime soundtracks which utterly fail to change the mood. A-Log uses the Lucky Star albums, I'll likely use the many Hidamari Sketch & K-ON!! OSTs for the show.
In the show, the bgm even gets a reaction from the Devil - "What the hell kind of music is this?!"

Of course the podcasts have to have CC bgm, so I'll leave the noisy DJ sequences to the shows not chained down by CC.

Yo ho ho and all that.

This show is one that got away from me. It was a simple show about hygiene and I added ideas and songs to it that I made after the original show script was completed.

Now I've had a stereotypical old person fall, and while I managed to get up, I'm a bit injured and no longer in any condition to make this show.

If I could get Wayne to answer my mails, I'd ask if it was ok to make and post one segment at a time. Screw it. That's what I'll do anyway. I want to get in a podcast or 3 in before I take on this monster special.

If you'd like to help, vote on the song pages for some CC songs that I can play on the podcasts. Hit the button for TMMS. If it can go into a podcast, I'll put it there. Thanks.

Bugger all! We've come full circle. When I decided to turn my ideas back into a Mad Music Show, I had the nerve to wonder where I'd get the songs when I could have looked at this thread and realize I already had them! The show is already assembled. All I have to do is put all my recent ideas into it. Looking at the thread, the idea I had for it is similar to what's already here. Problem solved.

Maybe I'll change some songs in this to accommodate the new stuff made recently. Other than that, this show is what I'll be working on next month. It's just a matter of putting the 2 scripts together and recording the show - with no CC restrictions! Yay!

If there are new songs just made you want to hear, you can still request them.
I'll have to make this show into the first Mad Music Special....

I have a feeling Satan will return to try to take over the show again. I'll sort his ass out good this time. If one no longer fears cancer/death, a man with horns and a tail sticking me with a trident isn't scary at all.

I'm not going to overdo it with concept pieces like this; it'll just be an occasional thing...usually.

Since it's compiled and ready to record, I'm going to have a whack at getting in a few segments this weekend. This was written to be a full 2 hour show and I'm not changing it. As always, I'll post it when I finish it. I'm not confident enough in my health to schedule release times.

All I can promise is quality over quantity - decent bgm & sfx, unique themes & show concepts, lack of predictability and general weirdness. The 'Satan battle' will be a Dickie Goodman style affair with comedy bit break-ins (rather than songs) and sfx along with homemade sounds. It likely sounds better than it'll actually be, so don't be too surprised if it doesn't quite live up to expectations.

This one will likely wear me out (everything else does) what with fighting Satan and all, so MMS-162 will be guest hosted by (great uncle) Viscount Vyslo Arrgula. The ancient Templar knight, Dark Age vampire, model & inspiration for the original Nosferatu movie (1922) and inventor (in 1928) of the infamous Rubber Hamster™ knows his way around body organs, having disemboweled and eaten so many. Organs are what MMS-162's about, so it'll be a good fit.

I agree. You should really keep the show numbers in order. There's enough madness around here! :-)

This helps confirm the notion in my head that leaving more holes in the list = not good.

This show will be 161 and the organ grinder show will be 162. When I can move around a bit more easily, they'll get recorded. Unless, of course, I'm dead. Then I'd have to stop.

Tim P. Ryan:

If you make them, they will come...and listen. Be they dated in March or for Christmas in July. We'll could even have listeners to your shows after you're dead. Just use the next number, don't leave holes. Except for pre-placed Halloween - Maybe Halloween in March.

Quandary - should I leave some show numbers open for the Xmas shows as I did for the 'lost' Halloween show and then fit them in as they're made or give up and save them for next Xmas? Assuming I have another one left.

Oh, no it isn't.

This is what I was putting together when the holidays came upon us. A show about hygiene. Can't even remember what I was doing before Halloween... It was going so well and then Santa had to stick his ass into things.

Unlike the other show I pointed out, this show's script & playlist are complete and it's ready to record. But as with the other show, I'm not going to pretend to have a schedule for its release. Haven't even decided which episode it'll be. It'll happen when it happens.

Quandary - should I leave some show numbers open for the Xmas shows as I did for the 'lost' Halloween show and then fit them in as they're made or give up and save them for next Xmas? Assuming I have another one left.

Since I've never done it before, I'm the wrong guy to ask. I've got the accesses, but not the necessary practice. Later in the month when I'm hopefully feeling better and the living room stops moving, I'm taking a crash course in all that. Until then, Wayne or Emi would be the ones to do that.

Dave AuJus:

If I upload the show segments and the playlist to the ftp site can you post them where they need to go?

LOL Great Show Names! I kind of like "The Mad Music Show With Crazed Commodore Stavro".

I have a playlist. I have a partial script that I can't really use. I have a microphone. Now all I need is some extra time to record my parts and mix it all down.

If I upload the show segments and the playlist to the ftp site can you post them where they need to go?

Just a reminder. This show is on the way. Just very, very slowly. I want to see the surgeon again before I start pushing my luck. He needs to tell me I don't need this bloody wrap thingie holding in my guts. Then things can start moving.

Maybe around Labor Day. Maybe. If Dave finishes his tribute show first, this will become MMS-157. If I complete it first, things will stay the same. Well, not quite the same....

"The Mad Music Show With Commodore Stavro"

"The Mad Music Show With Retired Commodore Stavro"

"The Mad Music Show With Complete Bastard Commodore Stavro"

"The Mad Music Show With Crazed Commodore Stavro"

"The Mad Music Show With Crazed Codger Commodore Stavro"

Decisions, decisions....

With Wayne's approval, this puppy is getting made. And in the tradition of FIDIM, I'm going to do it myself. After a few alterations in the otherwise completed script, of course.

A bit of determination is all that's required (and painkillers - lots and lots of....). And maybe a new microphone. Mmm, I can manage for now. If things go well, I'll hunt down something compatible with the new, shockingly affordable PC I had to get after the power supply died in the old one. At least I can play Portal 2 without all the audio delay now. Sims 3 looks good as well. Thank you, Chinese slave children in Guangdong.

It'll all be just a bit easier after knocking down this first show - even if it takes me the rest of the month to do it (agonizing back pain disturbs one's concentration). Hopefully, it won't come to that. I've another operation scheduled for next month.

Since everyone's probably forgotten by now, this show about hygiene will be (more or less) half about cleanliness and half about filth. I mean literally. Overflowing toilets full of long, fat, smelly logs of...well, you get the idea.

Yes, there is time. Just a few more slots left open purposely for requests.

We can even get 'The Story of the W.C.' in as well. I had weeks without shows to plan this episode (and the next 4) out with a good deal of precision, so everything will fit in fine.

Thanks to everyone who put up with the delays and still contribute to the making of these shows.

This show is now complete.

And remember, though many of an individual's requests get played, in the interest of fairness and peace & quiet, a name will be announced only once per show.

I seem to remember Gene Tracy doing something about an Avon lady who farts in an elevator... but I haven't heard that one since my 8-track died. It would probably be too over the top for a family friendly show anyway.

You guys are in my head again. A lot of these songs are on the playlist already. Which means you're thinking like me. ...not a good thing.

As it often does when slapping the show together, the segments are starting to break up and take on themes of their own. Evolving segment themes include:

•trash

•smells

•bathtubs

•germs

The other 2 haven't evolved yet. It's getting there, though.

The plan is to start with clean songs, that is, songs about literal cleanliness - i.e., bathtub ditties, and to transition in segment 4 into 'dirty songs' - songs about genuine dirt. "I Like" by Heathen Dan was the example used.

Of course, no law says that clean and dirty songs can't be naughty as well. That'll be part of the fun. So it's all good.

Though we played Polka Dot Undies very recently in MMS-153, so...

For this show, half the segments will feature bathtub/cleanliness tunes and the other half with be about barfin' on nice rugs, chewin' little slugs, leeches suckin' blood and...oh, you get the idea.

Request some songs for either - or preferably both.
