Update: Dr. Demento wrote the liner notes for the 2006 box set GOD BLESS TINY TIM: THE COMPLETE REPRISE RECORDINGS (it includes Tiny's three Reprise albums, non-album singles and unreleased stuff). Although Tiny CLAIMED that Norman Blagman wrote "The Viper", The Doctor (in his liner notes) says that when he was a child, he heard this story recited when he was at a Boy Scout meeting in the early 1950s'! Talk about "things that make you go 'hmmmm....'" (especially considering how naive Tiny was known for being when it came to falling for shady managers). (sav-man)
