Show Facts:
In the first hour, we played three novelty songs about the 80s including the least-known of the three, my song, 80s TV.

Also played in the first hour is a couple of Batman songs, one from Nichols and May that many never heard before, another funny piece from Professor Irwin Corey, an artist never played before anywhere to my knowledge, and one that we promised would be played, C Moon by Wings from 1972.

In the second hour, we played almost an hour of funny recordings about school, including a break-in piece I created that should have been thought of by the late Dickie Goodman in 1975, but I produced the 2012 recording using all excerpts of recordings from 1975.

"Hey Mr. Kotter!", a piece whose title is also a catch phrase said by Boom Boom Washington. I did some research at Wikipedia and rediscovered that Babarino was a Star Trek fan, so I included a Star Drek answer to one of the questions that was asked to Vinnie. This piece is dedicated to the memories of Ron Pallilo and Robert Hegyes, two of the original cast members who played the Sweathogs that died in 2012.

If you listen to the first four song-excerpts provided as answers to the questions, they are the same as those used in Goodman's "Mr. Jaws" recording, also paying homage to his contribution to funny recordings.

Also in the second hour, I played my picks for funny school recordings including many classics.

I also made an error about the year "Star Drek" came out. It indeed came out in 1975, thanks to madmusic.com's funny song database.

In the third hour, I opened it with two 1969 funny recordings dedicated to the memory of Neil Armstrong, and followed it with one of two songs that should have been played on the planet Mars last week or so, while the other one made the FT20's Top Five portion. I also played one track of Richard Cheese's new album. If you want to hear more tracks from his album, please let me now.

Coming in at #1 is a song fitting for the weekend as the listeners demand that we pay a tribute to the memory of Andy Griffith with one of his best recordings on this first weekend of the NFL season.

Coming in at #2 is a song that was #1 for the first two weeks of its existence on the FT20's Top Five, but oddly, it got more votes this weekend than it did last weekend, but down one notch in rank.

At #3, our readers decided on what I should play as we approach the 11th anniversary on the attacks on the East coast.

Rounding out the FT20 Top Five is my third-to-latest recording at #4, which is ebbing in votes, and at #5, the second of two songs that should have been played on Mars.

We hope you enjoy the show. Thanks for listening.

Remember, the Demented, no, make that The Funmented Recording Poll of 2012, name change, lasts each week. Keep going to http://vote.davesfunstuff.com/ once a week each week and help your favorites land in the Top 100 of 2012 rankings at the end of the year. (davidtanny)
