General Record collecting, music & film trivia, hi-fi & computer gear, and enjoying time with my family and friends.
Music I pretty much enjoy all types of music with a few exceptions: hardcore rap, blatant country and most opera. I was a long time (like 1978) weekly Dr. Demento listener, but not so much since his change over in 2007. My favorite genre would be metal/hard rock, but I have very eclectic tastes as my Last.FM page can attest. http://www.last.fm/user/Brown_Sound
Movies Same as music, enjoy most, but not a big fan of romantic comedies, slasher flicks or movies about self-absorbed folks (i.e. Sex in the City). Now if Sex in the City was redone as a comedy-slasher movie, I'm there!
Television Most of the police procedurals and the comedies on CBS, Good Eats with Alton Brown, and F1 racing on the Speed channel.
Books Sadly my book reading has declined a lot in the last few years. I do pick up a music-related biography or other music title now and then. My favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut and Stephen King. I currently subscribe to Stereophile and Home Theater magazines.
